Copperhead makes copper san mai knives — a living seam of copper pressed between layers of hardened blade steel. Kitchen knives and folders, built one at a time, not one thousand at once.
Forged in Missouri · One maker · Small batches
Be first to see the first blades — the copper diary, new drops, and a maker's-price window before anything goes public. No spam, ever.
San mai means "three layers" — a hard cutting core jacketed on both sides. We run a seam of pure copper along that weld line, so every blade carries a warm metallic river you can actually see.
It isn't a coating or an etch trick. The copper is forged into the billet, ground back at the edge, and finished by hand. Two knives are never the same.
Raw stock for makers — a copper seam between high-carbon core and jacket. Buy the billet, forge your own story.
Workhorse profiles that take a screaming edge and wear a copper line down the spine of the bevel.
Slip-joints and friction folders with copper bolsters and a patina that only gets better in your pocket.
Copper is alive — it darkens, warms, and patinas with every use, and no two age the same way. We document each blade from billet to edge, and we'll follow the ones you carry as they change. It's the one thing a factory can't fake, and the whole reason this brand exists.
Leave your email and you'll be first in line when the first knives — and the first billets — are ready.
